MOWI Scotland were upgrading their processing facilities at their Fort William site and needed a flooring and drainage solution that would support an increase in demand for their products.

TSL were engaged as the main contractors after working with MOWI on many previous projects and appointed John Lord to install the flooring and drainage based on previous successfully completed projects.

The flooring and drainage installation was a combination of upgrading existing facilities and the fit-out of a newly built extension.

After a consultation on design and specification, the John Lord team installed 4000m² of Uragard HT62, 200 metres of Colorado channels, 20 summit gullies and 500m clip on and over clad kerb throughout processing and chiller areas.

Resin flooring is ideal for this type of environment due to its high degree of durability, chemical resistance, and anti-slip properties. Installed as a seamless floor means there are no joints, creases, or crevasses, which can be damaged and come under attack by unwanted bacteria.

Having a single supplier for both flooring and drainage is a huge benefit when it comes to manufacturing facilities. A perfectly fitted flooring and drainage system can boost the overall performance, including employee health & safety, operational costs and consumer safety. Our dedicated project managers worked closely with both MOWI and TSL during the entire installation process to ensure the highest standards for flooring, drainage and protection were achieved.
