We are proud to have supplied Warburtons Ltd, with specialist resin flooring, ceramic floor tiling, drainage and protection systems since 1992.

As Warburtons have grown and expanded their business throughout the UK, we have been involved in the construction or refurbishment of over 14 bakeries, from their original Bolton site to Europe’s largest bakery at Tuscany Park.

After 17 years of working with Warburtons and their established team of preferred specialist contractors, mutual trust has built up, allowing for faster decision making and action from both parties increasing efficiency during projects.

John Lord installed Uragard HT62W polyurethane resin flooring system at the Warburtons Tuscany Park facility in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The Uragard HT Range has been specially designed to provide hygienic, chemical resistant, slip-resistant and easy to clean floor finishes, ideal for a project on this scale.

To achieve the optimum curing characteristics, the polyurethane technology requires certain environmental conditions including moderate temperatures. The project took place during the winter, with outside temperatures regularly dipping below freezing but despite this, John Lord was able to complete the job in an ideal environment. This was possible by using a series of large tents, each individually temperature controlled for storage, mixing and installation areas. The tents needed to remain in place to elevate the ambient temperature until the resin floor system cured. So by utilising a number of tents, the John Lord installation team were able to work continuously at a rate of between 120m² to 150m² per shift.

“John Lord has carried out projects in numerous Warburtons bakeries, consistently working to an excellent standard in line with quotations. They are to be complimented on their professionalism, always working to deadlines and without disruption.”
Derek Ainsworth, Chief Engineering Manager, Warburtons Ltd
