Harrogate Town Football Club was updating its public bar and toilet facilities and wanted a floor that was hardwearing and hygienic, as well as being durable and attractive.

ADNC Projects Ltd was appointed as the main contractor after working with the club on previous projects and chose John Lord to install the flooring based on a previous working relationship.

Harrogate Town AFC originally wanted vinyl flooring however, in these areas, over time vinyl can rip, crease, curl and warp causing trip hazards and exposed areas, which are then prone to bacteria build-up.

Resin flooring provides a more long-lasting finish. Once a resin floor is installed it is extremely durable and impact resistant. Installed as a seamless floor means there are no joints, creases, or crevasses, which can be damaged and come under attack by unwanted bacteria.

After a consultation on design and specification, the John Lord resin team carried out the manufacture and installation of over 130m² of Epigard SF with a medium anti-slip cast and a Uragard WR skirting to both the public bar and toilet facilities.

Chris Emery, Construction Director at ADNC said ‘We have worked with John Lord on several projects and their floors are always of the highest quality. We trust them to install the right flooring for our client’s needs, delivering on spec and on time, every time.’
