Mark Hadfield

Mark has been with John Lord for over 15 years and has a detailed knowledge of each business area having held a variety of roles within the business. Mark takes a commercial and strategic role in developing and growing the company, as well as working closely with clients to deliver suitable flooring solutions.


Jim Lomax

Business Development Manager
Originally qualified as a Chemical Engineer, Jim has over 45 years’ experience in the flooring industry and has been with John Lord for over 28 years. Jim is usually the first point of contact for customers with new projects and for new enquiries; he offers advice and shares his wealth of knowledge and experience to recommend the most suitable specialist flooring and drainage solutions.


John Edwards

Commercial Manager
With over 17 years of experience in the contract flooring industry, John has detailed technical knowledge of all aspects of commercial flooring. In addition, John has negotiated and delivered numerous major projects for blue chip clients in the private sector as well as delivering long term, national public sector frameworks. Irrespective of the sector John will ensure your project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.


James Airey

Technical Sales Manager 
Before becoming a Technical Sales Manager, James worked as an Estimator at John Lord. This role gave James a greater understanding of the estimating process and knowledge of products and installation methods. James provides customers with cost-effective solutions when choosing the right floor specification and installation methods required to meet with the demands of their working environment.


Tom Ingham

Technical Sales Engineer 
Tom has years of experience in the installation of bespoke resin flooring systems for many different sectors as a Technical Sales Engineer for John Lord.

Working closely with his clients on many large factory projects, Tom’s insight into the flooring industry has proven valuable and has led him to create a large portfolio of new and existing customers seeking his expertise on various commercial and industrial projects.


Mark Murray

Technical Sales Engineer
Mark has almost 10 years’ experience working in the construction industry, having previously worked with major product manufacturers with varied product ranges and client bases. He is new to the flooring industry, but experienced in building new relationships, creating repeat business, and developing a portfolio of customers.


Sam Norris (MChem)

Product Manager
Sam is our Product Manager and Chemist. He has a Master’s Degree in Chemistry and has previously worked as an environmental consultant. Sam is responsible for the research and development of new resin products and identifying and sourcing new raw materials, as well as working closely with the production and sales team to maintain and develop our product ranges.

Contracts Team

Our contracts team is led by Head of Projects, Nick Smithson who has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Our 6 experienced project managers are all SMSTS and NVQ Level 6 qualified, and bring together a diverse range of skills, experiences and ideas to deliver quality industrial and commercial flooring projects on time and budget, to customers across the UK.
